Washington, DC – Today the Postal Regulatory Commission released the dates for its quarterly public meetings for calendar year 2016. The meetings allow the general public an opportunity to hear from Commission leadership about the activities undertaken by the Commission throughout the year.
All portions of the public meetings that are open to the general public are held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on:

Washington, DC – The Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) voted unanimously in December to designate Commissioner Nanci E. Langley as vice chairman of the PRC effective January 1, 2016. PRC regulations provide that the commissioners elect a member to serve as vice chairman for a term of one year. Commissioner Langley succeeds Commissioner Tony Hammond.

Washington, DC – Today the Postal Regulatory Commission issued Order No. 2623 to address issues presented in the exigent rate case that was recently remanded to the Commission by the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers v. Postal Regulatory Commission, 2015 WL 3513394 (D.C. Cir. June 5, 2015).

Washington, DC – In a report issued today, the Postal Regulatory Commission examines the Postal Service’s fiscal year 2014 program performance report and fiscal year 2015 performance plan. The Commission is mandated by statute to review the Postal Service’s goals and make findings as to whether the Postal Service has met those goals and offer any recommendations regarding the protection or promotion of public policy objectives.
