    Washington, DC – The Postal Regulatory Commission today announces the appointment of Stacy L. Ruble as Secretary and Chief Administrative Officer. In his new role, Mr. Ruble will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Commission’s Office of Secretary and Administration which provides management and staff support to the Commission’s operational offices. Mr. Ruble succeeds Shoshana Grove who is retiring from the position after more than 40 years of service in the postal industry.

    Washington, DC – The Postal Regulatory Commission today announced changes to its website, www.prc.gov, that enhance access to USPS Service Performance information. Visitors to the site now have the ability to quickly access Quarterly Periodic Service Performace reports filed with the Commission by the Postal Service, Commission analysis of Postal Service fiscal year program performance and performance plans, Annual Compliance Determination reports since inception in 2007, and all dockets related to service performance.

    Washington, DC – Representatives of the Postal Regulatory Commission and the United States Postal Service met on August 27, 2015 to share information of interest concerning the operations of both organizations.

    This session was limited to the sharing of information for the purpose of familiarizing each entity with the operations of the other organization, such as reporting on the status of major initiatives. Pending (or anticipated) postal matters before the Commission were not discussed, nor did deliberations or decisional matters take place during this session.

    Washington, DC – Today the Postal Regulatory Commission issued Order No. 2623 to address issues presented in the exigent rate case that was recently remanded to the Commission by the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers v. Postal Regulatory Commission, 2015 WL 3513394 (D.C. Cir. June 5, 2015).

    Washington, DC – In a report issued today, the Postal Regulatory Commission examines the Postal Service’s fiscal year 2014 program performance report and fiscal year 2015 performance plan. The Commission is mandated by statute to review the Postal Service’s goals and make findings as to whether the Postal Service has met those goals and offer any recommendations regarding the protection or promotion of public policy objectives. The Commission does not have the authority to alter the Postal Service’s goals.

    Washington, DC – The Postal Regulatory Commission today issued Order No. 2540, establishing Docket No. R2013-11R to consider issues on remand related to the exigency surcharge. All comments and other documents must be filed under this docket.

    The Commission also suspends the requirement that the Postal Service file a 45 day notice of intent to remove the exigent rate surcharge pending further review of the case and issuance of its order.
